The IMB or International Martial arts and Boxing Academy is originally out of Torrence, California and headed by Sifu Richard Bustillo. Sifu Bustillo was one of the original students of Bruce Lee. Sifu Bustillo started the IMB in the early 70's to preserve the teachings of Bruce Lee. The IMB Family Martial Arts Center in Charlotte NC is owned and operated by Louis Grady, one of Sifu Bustillo's full instructors. The IMB wants to ensure that the student has a well rounded martial education. The training includes all five ranges: weapons, kicking, punching, trapping and grappling. Bruce Lee's idea of "Find what is useful an discard the rest" pervades the training at the IMB Family Martial Arts Center, but what really makes our school special is the "family" aspect of our school. Learning is the key to all our work. Our teaching is done as if we were working with our own family.
